... and was involved in my first wreck yesterday. Illegal with no drivers license ran a stop sign, and cut me off. I did everything I could to avoid hitting her but got too heavy into the rear brake and the back end came out from under me and I went down. Went by ambulance to the ER and have a fractured sacrum.
A biker loving little old lady saw what happened and chased after the driver of the car who decided to flee, and tailed her until the cops caught up with her which I thought was cool.
The crash bars did their job and prevented any real major damage I think. It went down on its right side. It was leaking gas but I think it was just coming out of the carb because it was on its side. I haven't had a chance to go over the bike too much yet, but I will either tomorrow or Friday.
Glad your ok, and Thank the Lord for the Patron that took the time to help.
Thanks! I was on a main road (three lanes on each side) close to rush hour, and I was amazed at the people that came to help, block traffic, and/or see if I was ok. Restored my faith in humanity a bit.
had to look up wtf a sacrum was. a triangular bone in the lower back formed from fused vertebrae and situated between the two hipbones of the pelvis.
JC!
Yeah apparently your sciatic nerve runs through there so I've got some PT in the future to make sure I don't screw that up. I've got an appointment with the ortho doc next Thursday.
I hope you are on some kick *** pain medication. I have a very low threshold for pain so my question to my doctors (military injuries and I will leave it at that), is why should I be on this earth feeling any pain what so ever!
I just hope you are not doing anything but allowing your body to adjust to the trauma. F me.
Well I'm in nursing school, and I'm at the end of my med surg clinical rotation so I can't miss any time because there is no time now to make it up. So I had to hobble by broken *** into school today and tomorrow on just Advil. But first thing I do when I get home is reach for the Percocets haha
