I check mine in a dark area with a high intensity flashlight. Easy to see.

I also use Spectro 75/140 SNY it is RED easier to see. While shock proof heavy is a good product the HD gear box needs a lube that flows much easier. It is to thick.
GL-5 is way over kill for a HD gear box it does not hurt either.

Hey all -

I just serviced my '14 RK. I filled the tranny to the top fill line on the dipstick with the bike cold on Jiffy stand. It took the entire bottle (1 Qt/32 oz) of Valvoline 75W/140 to fill it to the top line.

Shop manual says add 28 oz, but that amount only brought me to the lower fill line on the dipstick. I checked several times.

Haven't ridden yet. Don't want it puking out of the vent or causing shifting problems. Does anyone think I added a few ounces too much??

Appreciate advice...
