Default HD Parade fan sensor question

While I was doing my audio upgrade, having the gas tank off, I pulled the sensor harness a tad bit and it landed on the floor. I don't know where it supposed to go. It has a bracket on it like it's supposed to mount somewhere? I see on top of the intake there is 2 threaded holes where this might go but obviously wasn't there. The fan was working as well. Any idea's where the sensor goes?

Take a look at Page 2 of 5, Figure 4 of the instructions. I hope this helps

Thank you for that link. That now explains why it wasn't mounted. My bike doesn't have a backing plate. (Stage 1)
Does anyone have any suggestions besides hooking up a switch?

Use a couple of zip ties and place it on the bottom of the frame up between the cylinders. It should get enough heat up there to switch the fan on and it should be out of the way of the air stream when the fan is running to keep it from shutting down to soon.
