HELP With Azz End!!!
Bad Dad Rear Fender
Cali Custom Bags.
2007 Road Glide.
Got everything very loosely mocked up, the bags fit great however it seems when I line the fender up the exhaust holes are off.(see picture below). It's like the fender is too long. How do I fix this?
Unfortunately your issue began with purchasing bags and rear fender from different companies w/out checking measurements.
Looks like your fender is already painted, or I would suggest sanding the exhaust hole openings a little to line up.
I would get rid of the stock bag rail bumper and use some baseball bat grip tape or tennis racquet tape to lower the bag a little. Be careful to not leave too loose or your bags will shake and rattle.
You can adjust your bag rails and mounting holes up top a little.
Loosen everything up, and carefully adjust until you get it as close as you can.
Yep, loosen your clamps and turn (twist) the each muffler until they match. No biggie.
I don't think he is referring to the pipes. He is saying the rounded cut out of the bags doesn't line up with the rounded cut out of the fender. As a previous poster said,it might be because of the different brands.
To me it seems like the fender is perfect (needs to slide a little to the right) as the cut-outs line up nice with the pipes - it seems as though your bags are too short and don't come down far enough
Did you do a mock up before paint? If not, that's your first mistake. You should always check fitment before bodywork and paint. Especially if you're going to use 2 different manufacturer's parts.
Your bags look like a standard CVO style bag. The fender cutouts look good in relation to the exhaust. The bags don't look like they will ever match up to that cutout. My buddy has Baddad fender and bags. You can't see any of the exhaust hanger or saddlebag bracket. They are built to sit tight down around the exhaust and match the cut out in the fender. Google pictures of Baddad rear ends and you'll see what I'm talking about. Try calling Baddad. Good luck.
The picture I posted guys is not my EXACT setup it's just the results of what is happening to me currently. I don't want to spend another $800 on bags but looks like my only option.
