some use clear 3M tape when they use on the flag mounts

you can also put felt door stops on it.

When I took the windshield bah off, there was rub marks on the windshield and rub marks on the painted fairing where the bag sat. It had been like that long enough to where it actually rubbed through the paint on the painted fairing. I didn't get pictures because I ended up installing a dash pad from kuryakyn.

I've had it off several times since installing and as of the last time, no sign of wear on my fairing. If it happens, no biggie as a friend of mine could repair it.

I have a standard blackedout SG winshield with the Harley 3 pouch bag. Never noticed scratches, but what I did noticed was the bags rubbing ontop of the painted inside fairing. Nothing bad, about a dime size. Not sure if you have a painted inner, but figured I'd tell you my experience.

I use the tbag.
no problems at all with the windscreen, but the back can scratch up the top of the dash---which i learned here at the forums before I bought it.

the top of my dash is covered with piece of sticky-back loop velcro trimmed to fit.
