I I guess the answer would be no but.... I bought a used road King with Vance and Hines power duels, se air cleaner, and se pro super tuner. Runs great as far as I can tell. Seller had HD do the tune. I just wonder if it would be worth it to try the self tune deal or to have another tune done. Like I said seems to run great, just wasn't involved in the work so I don't know if it is as great as it should be. Can't compare to what it was like prior to stage 1.
Let it be for awhile most waste a lot of cash on needless chasing tunes. If the bike is running fine give your self time to adjust to the new bike learn a bit and make educated choices .
Download the map from the VCI, make a couple of copies to flash drives, download the software, read up on running smart tunes, play around with it and see what it does. If your current tune is good the smart tunes will make no adjustments, if it can it will tweak the cells in the tables, if you totally fubar the process, just load the original one you downloaded from the VCI. You will learn a lot regarding the tuning process. If the guy who did the original tune was any good at all, the smart tune won't (shouldn't) better the map.
