Default 21" front tire brand

I need some help on which tire to get on a 21" size for my streetglide. I see as option as Avon tires or Metzeler tires anybody has a preference or which handles better or longer life or any other info before I pull the "TRIGGER"

I hear that Avon and Metzeler are good tires, but most of the people I know that use those tires, say they are a bit shy on the mileage side, but have excellent traction ... very sticky tires with lots of grip.

From what I've read and know, my personal preference would be to go with the Dunlop American Elite of the Michelin Commander II.
Both those brands have 21" for the front.
1.) Dunlop American Elite MH90-21
2.) Michelin Commander II 80/90B21
From my perspective: great mileage, good traction, great handling!
That's my 2-cents!

Ultimately, it will be your own personal preference.

Note that the Dunlop American Elite MH90-21 is designed for a 2.15" rim. On our Touring Harley's with the 21" front we tend to run the 3" or better yet, 3.5" rims.

The Dunlop tire for the 3.5" rim is the Dunlop E3 120/70VR-21. Here is a link to the Dennis Kirk site for the tire. Its out of stock now but I'm sure that won't be for long.

I am using this tire and it has been great so far. I chose it because it seemed to be the smallest diameter 21" tire I could find by a major manufacturer. I still had to modify the fender but its a great tire.

Forgot about that ... yea, I would stay with a 3" or 3.5" rim.

Good luck with your choice!

I've ran the stock 21" Dunlop & Metzelers on my Wide Glide for 40k+ miles.
Far & away, the Metzeler is a much better tire. It's also a 120 on a 3.5" rim
