That being said, Is there anybody here that is running a 24" windshield ?
any drawbacks ?
That's really a non-question, as the relationship of your height to the windshield is what matters.
I'm running a 22 or 24 inch windshield myself. I look through it, and do just fine with that. If I sit up very tall, I can just look over the top. There is a calm pocket of air that I am in, with zero head buffeting at any speed. I'm quite happy with it.
Drawback on taller shields is difficulty in seeing through it in rain or misty conditions. Also, I'd get a better quality shield. On those rare occasions an object hits that plexiglass, it's gonna break more easily than a lexan shield.

Oh ya, and then some !!!
It, plexiglass , does not just break it shatters !! I had a Memphis Shades they sent incorrect and balked at replacing so it has been in the box 10 years, I cut it down for an experiment and took one of the pieces and one of the Lexan scraps.
I used a .22 pellet rifle at 25 feet and the lexan had a tiny dent .22 sized and the memphis shade shattered in several pieces that must have magnified the energy as they sure went flying everywhere !!
Just for giggles I shot the lexan in the same spot a few times and it never cracked, shattered or even punched through with 3 point blank shots.
Something to think about, I will never ride behind the cheap crap again.
