It does seem like there are a few internet postings regarding an induction module fault.
Also read a few that were replaced for what seems like $400 (just the part) for a complete assembly and then add labor.
Read others that look like they were an electrical contact issue.
Some appear to be related to a plastic gear.
Unfortunate that further information regarding diagnosis and repair is unavailable in this situation.
Would be rather neat if someone came-up with a DIY solution for the gear tooth problem.
Maybe it would help alert riders to review a component during regular service.
Hopefully the original poster retained the broken part.
Sometimes manufacturers or representatives of companies offer support to those with an out of warranty service concern by offering a gift card or some other incentive when contacted.
I learned about the electrical contacts a while back and now i am aware of the gear tooth situation.
