Yes I did get it off the Amsoil website. I don't carry info like that around in my wallet. Just like to put the best stuff I can in my bike. Buy generic petroleum from some guy in an alley and I'm sure the bike will run the same as any other oil. I think I'll put in the best I can though.

but what would you think they would say? amsoil is not going to tell you mobil1 or anything else is better.that wouldn't be a great selling point. that is all
If you become a Preferred Customer($10), 20W-50 runs $6.55 per quart, if you buy a case of 12. $6.90 for a single bottle. It might be a little more than the other brands, but it's going into something pretty special. Plus it's a once-a-year/25,000 mile oil change. It's also works great in the primary, trans, and engine.
Well actually I saw a white paper by Amisol where it tested against Moble 1, RP, Redline, Syn3 ect. Amisol did not win in every category. My impression was that Amisol and Moble 1 were pretty close in performance. Syn3 was about average and Lucas pretty much sucked in all categories. Although the testing and review were performed by Amisol, it looked objective to me.
I don't use Amisol because of their marketing methods and Amway type salesmen. I've been on the forum for over two years and I can tell you that the general consensus after reading all the tests is that Mobile 1 is as good or better than any oil out there.
To answer the question on "Another Oil Thread." It's just that this topic has been discussed a thousand times and the person that stated that was trying to say "Do a search before you post." Personally (and as Admin) I don't care how many Oil Threads there are (as long as they aren't all running at the same time). A forum is about members posting questions and answers. If we quit posting after something got discussed then the forum would have died a couple of years ago.
Bottom line: Syn 3 is overrated (but works), standard HD Oil is overrated (but works) Amisol is expensive (but works.........but not for 25000 miles) and Mobile 1 isless expensive (but works very well....................just my opinion).
Can I get the VIN number on that bike that is getting 25,000 mile oil change intervals. I might be looking for another bike and I need to know which one to avoid[8D]
I used the Mobil 1 20W50 V-twin, in the engine and primary and Mobile1 75-90 synthetic gear oilin the Trannyon my 06 Dyna Superglide. I was prefectly happy with it, and in all honesty, I would be using it in my new 07 Ultra but a friend of mine just recently became and Amsoil dealer and I will be switching to it. I have read many many post on this forum about using different oils and I have even read some good tests results and for the most part, the top 3 oils for Harleys are Amsoil, Mobile1, Redline, "in no paticular order". They are all three great oils. The Mobil1 V-twin was just easier for me to get since they carried it at my local Autozone. And Im only switching to Amsoil because it will also now be easily available to me.
