as far as I can tell its the same. I use it in the engine all the time. I do use different oils in the primary and transmission.

Why does everyone get sarcastic about oil questions? Alot of people do not spend their lives reading post after post on these forums. Sure, oil threads are going to be big debate topics, but everyone has a right to their opinion, and the right to learn what different oils people are using to make a knowlegable decision.

I just switched to Mobil 1 V-Twin for my motor and primary on the SG and the Mobil 1 75/90 in the tranny. I gotta tell you, I'm impressed with the shifting ease and sound over Syn3. I don't have an oil temp gauge yet, but I do notice that my legs get less hot than they used to in colder weather.

Oil threads crack me up, your engine will run exactly the same on any good quality oil that is changed regularly.

I run Redline, but not for any particular reason other than it makes me feel good.......

Well John, I guess you don't pay attention to much, then do you? Who are you trying to kid? You pay extrafor Redline instead of buying "any good quality oil"? Some of us may notice things like a quieter motor, and the ten degree difference on my oil temp guage.

Or do you mean that it makes you feel good when you rub it all over your body. EWWWW

Mobil discontinued the 15w50 Mobil 1 with the red top and replaced it with the Extended Life 15w50. I think it is the same product with a little different "spin"......marketing stuff. I've been using it in my Harleys since 1996 if I recall. Good stuff! No worries!
