My 2016 Ultra Ltd should arrive to my dealer in February. I'd like some feedback on the Ez Up stand. I searched the forums without any luck. Any feedback would be appreciated.
It works as effortlessly and simple as the video on their homepage shows. Mine has been on for 6 years and the only things I've done is marvel at how quick it was to install ( the only way it might have been easier is if the stand would have jumped out of the box and ran across the floor and installed itself ) and put a couple of drops of lubricant on the pivot points once. http://www.wheeldock.com/page/home/r...r-stand-videos
I bought mine used from a forum member- I added a washer as a spacer to the brace under the mounting bolt- I think previous install slightly bent this. This give me better alignment at the frame and a little better clearance at the primary ( which moves with drivetrain when motor is running.
the stand gives me much better room to move around my crowded garage as the stand keep the bike upright.
everything you see in the videos is accurate- including the 1 bolt 5 minute install- BUT you have to check and be sure that the stand is properly aligned at the gussets and centered.
the "ride off" works well- on asphalt
on very smooth cement like my driveway, my rear tire doesn't get enough traction and spins.
WheelDock gave me some hints and tips - (which is pretty good considering I didn;t buy from them) regarding shock inflation etc.
In the end I ground a little off the pads.
in normal riding clearance has not been a concern but turning into a driveway can contact, depending on angle and the rise of the curb.
ok on speed bumps

Just remember that it has to be on LEVEL ground for it to work properly. If not it will help the bike fall over.
I have one my Roady and love it but I only use it in the garage and at filling stations. BTW I can get more gas in the tank with the bike on the jiffy side stand than on the center stand.
Just be aware those need a level surface that's hard enough to support all that weight. I had a center stand on my tour glide, took it off, hardly used it.
I just removed mine to remove the oil pan and I am debating whether I am putting it back on. It does work well and has its advantages, but I don't find myself using it very often.
A couple of hints if you do get one. Do not use on asphalt. Do not use on windy days. Make sure you are on level ground.
