When it comes to comfort, there are very few things that are universally accepted as being comfortable. About the only thing I can think of that most people agree on being a more comfortable mod is floorboard extensions. With that being said, seats, handlebars and windshields are things that people get very divided on. I currently have a Mustang Super Solo with backrest on my Road King. At first I didn't like it though, I didn't feel it moved me back far enough and wanted to get rid of it. My wife talked me into leaving it on the bike and giving it some time, and I'm glad she did. After a few months and some miles I have grown very fond of my Mustang Super Solo. I've had a HD Tallboy, Mustang Vintage Wide Solo, a Corbin solo, SE Road King seat from an 2008 bike. It took me quite a few seats to get one that I'm really happy with, but the best thing you can do is try to sit on a few different bikes with different seats, but even then, until you give it some time, you can never be really sure what you are going to like.

Chris above is a great example of a guy trying to find the right seat - sometimes it can be tough - everyone has a different body and different likes and dislikes - and the search sometimes can be very expensive.

I am on my 4th Harley in the past 20 years - I am the Short rider and like a lot of people I have Learned that to get a bike to 'Fit' you - Both the Handle bars and Seat MUSTS work together - You could have the Perfect Seat and the Perfect handle bars BUT if they are NOT on the bike at the same time - you may just end up Hating each one for the wrong reason.

Seat feel good - bars too close / too far away

Love the Bars but the seat is killing me

Sound familiar ????

When I got my New 15 Limited I knew I would end up getting a Custom Corbin (ride in appointment - the Only way to get a saddle to fit me) But BEFORE I got the seat - I need to find Bars that I liked - I Knew I would have the Seat built to me and the Bars...

Because of my short reach - I knew finding bars was going to be a challenge - My 04 had the perfect bars BUT the company did NOT make them for the TB?
I had been looking and wanting to try a NEW approach - Decided to take the 'Plunge' and order HELI Bars

Heli Bars are very different and not for everyone plus they are crazy expensive - However, If I add all the cost of trying few bars - the two totals would be close.. So, I got them - Problem was one the West Coast - I could NOT find someone to install them - SO, I did it my self - Actually working on the 15 Limited - much easier than on the 04 -

In the End, I now have the set up that fits me. If you looking for a seat - TRY to find a maker or someone who can and will BUILD the seat to fit YOUR *** - I like to do a lot of Touring - I resisted a back rest for years (did not look Cool, lol) Finally got on - again - It HAS to fit you - Best thing I ever did for my body...

A bad fitting or feeling seat or bad bars can and WILL turn a nice ride into the ride from Hell in short time

I've had 3 Mustangs, a Road Zepplin, an Ultimate and the original Hammock seat. The Mustangs were by fat the least comfortable for myself and my wife. The RZ felt up high and a beach ball feeling. The Ultimate simply sank to the pan in about an hour. Pretty sure a Danny Gray Airhawk 2 up Long Haul seat will be next on the list. May also try a Corbin as well. Never had this much trouble finding the right seat for a motorcycle. Mustang customer service bent over backwards to help me out but in the end just could not find a comfortable seat from there. If I ever find the right seat for me and the wife the info will be shared after a couple 8-10 hr rides.

I picked up a Corbin Hollywood for a good price. I like the seat, it's a little wide in the nose and not much back support though.

I have a heated hammock seat. I love it, but don't have a lot of experience with different seats.

I have the Lepara DLL also. I like the seat moved me back and down a little from the seat that was on my 07 FLHTCU. I am a bigger guy at 350 & 6' but the wife isnt as happy @ 5' and a little big boned she is cramped. finding the right seat for you is tough finding the right seat for yall is never fun. that's where i am now. rather than throwing hundreds at seats i'm thinking of having the factory seat reworked @ mean city and see what happens.

I am going to replace my stock with a Corbin. I ride a lot of long distance rides (54K since June 2014), so a good seat is a must. I have had both hips replaced and after a few hours on the stock seat I have to either get off the bike for a few minutes or pop up and sit on the edge of the passenger seat while riding for a few minutes (the latter is what I do during IronButts). I decided I am going to ride to Hollister and have Corbin build me a custom seat. They take appointments for 'ride-in service'.
