FM reception issues
I didn’t have the same results but it was on a 07 bike. I haven’t tried it on my current bike. The reception in the mountains for FM was way better with the whips.
Hidden or mask antenna for am/fm?
Have you tried an amplified antenna yet?
As for this,
Note, they said that there are no antenna connections in between the radio and the tour pack antenna.
Could be hidden antenna up front that someone installed, and pulled the cable to use the hidden antenna, isntead of using the cable back to the whip on the tour pack.

So may want to ask them if anything was plugged into radio am/fm antenna socket on radio in the first place and at least it in play.
Hence if you bought the bike used, may have had an amplified or hidden antenna on the bike added, but old owner pulled it to use on new bike, and did not reinstall or reconnect the old tour pack whip antenna back up via its cable 9.
So either work the problem from radio socket out for am/Fm antenna cable out to whip on tour pack if installed, or if there is something like an am/Fm amplified antenna installed, then make sure that irs working and has power as well.
Also, keep in mind that am/fm signal is line of sight from elevated position of tower signal to you, and even with a amplified antenna to help boost the signal that the antenna can pick up, may still be spotty still out in the boondocks with reception.

New 24Roadglide LTD HAS a long whip and the reception sucking,is ongoing, all way back to Rushmore days was the point. my intention was to see if any chance there is an. update for the new bike. probably a software flash, regionally tuned or whatever might help. I wasn't looking for a smartass comment just checking if any things changed since 2014.and what ,by TSB ,Or procedure # .
Since whip type antenna is mounted to fiberglass (not steel ground), see that the middle clip on cable 9 is connected, or at least the grayed out ground wire in play.
If yes, and still need to boost the signal to radio for better reception, then in line amplifier is easy to install to boost the signal going to the head unit.

As for 2024 radio, don't remember seeing a firmware upgrade for it to get better FM reception, just flashes for speaker outputs really isntead.

I had FM issues on my bike. What we found on mine was, i had a cigarette lighter charger plugged in all the time and it was faulty. It still charged my phone, but it was causing some kind of interference. I don’t know how all of that works? But unplugged i had excellent FM, plugged in i had next to nothing.
