batteries
my younger brother is looking for a battery. i have always recommended Deka but have heard their quality has wavered lately and they are not lasting as long. who makes the yussa brand ? are they made here in the U.S.A. ? if the dekas are only last two years now days might as well look at something that will last longer. cost is a concern.
FYI,no matter how good a battery mfg is quality wise due to the fact they generally have more batteries on the market that along will drive more fails in the fld because there are so many more out there to begin with.
But i have been using (& installing in bikes i work on for other people too) Deka factory activated maint free AGM powersprt motorcycle batteires for yrs without having an out of the box failure,a premature failure within the 1yr warranty period either with them lasting 4.5-5 yrs on avg in an HD and longer in bikes with smaller disp motors to spin over.
So point is dont discount the Deka maint free fact act agm bike batteries because they are still a good quality battery at a very good price coming from my 1st hand exp with those batteries over mult yrs in mult bikes.
With that said here's a list of links i compiled of the best buys i found on Deka ,Yuasa and other good batteries maint free fact activated AGM motorcycle batteries for you to chk out.

Yes, but made in China if that's important to you. I was just researching batteries and the Lightning Start batteries caught my eye because of the 600 cca, but I found several negative reviews as well.
Ended up buying the Yuasa 500 cca on amazon for $149.

Thanks.
Are we talking initial cost being a factor or just overall?
I have a Shorai lithium battery going on its 5th year, I leave it installed and it does just fine every year. It's pretty pricey but it's saved me from buying a new battery every two years and weighs barely over 1lb
Like others have said its how you take care of them that counts.
