Exhaust Performance Question
Rear pulley swap along with getting bit better tune should help quite a lot wihout having to go the expense installing a new 2 into 1 ex system that may be louder then you'd like too.
I changed gearing only tooth on drive pulley on the last bike i had (1700cc v-twin cruiser) and it really made a noticeable diff in its upmh so with better tune & swapping out rear pulley that may satisfy you.
And if the situation calls for hauling butt like already suggested just down shift 1 gear (2 if required!) to better place motor in its pwr & trq curve to stay up with the larger 103 .
Thats where CI 's come's into play because your smaller 96" motor has to work a bit harder (down shift and rev a bit more) to enable it to keep up with the the larger 103that not downshifting in same passing situation.
And even with the new rear pulley you may have to still downshift to keep up with the 103 when passing ,but i am pretty sure you could stay with the 103 with new pulley, better tune & downshifting too hopefully without investing a new ex system that may be louder then you like or not sound like current system you already like a lot.
Good luck & let us know what you decide to do & how it works out for you.

As others stated gearing is the issue, both primary ratios and final as well IIRC.
Just downshift, my dead pal had a 08 Ultra converted to a trike and he bitched about what a dog it was until it was suggested he just downshift on grades and passing, then he was happy.
