I also got one and for $20 - it works as advertised.. I can park on a any slope and the bike will not do that little dance forward - if the dance does not bother you, then great, for me the $20 was well spent.. Hell, I have paid 5 times that to add a smoke LED lens to my front fender, LOL... and the stock fender light worked just fine, but the smoked looked 'cooler' LOL..
sayin if it ain't broke, don't fix it - that's a joke to 99.99% of the Harley riders out there, they ALL change some part that is just fine for one that looks better,,,

So for anyone who's interested, I wanted to follow up on this and tell you that I decided to remove the aftermarket jiffy stand stop and go back to stock. My wife finally rode with me on the SG, it was my first time with anyone on the back of this bike, and somehow the ergonomics changed. It just wasnt as "positive" a feeling of the jiffy stand engaging in the locked position when parking with a passenger. So, lesson learned - sometimes the Co does know what they're doing

Interesting and I support your decision to do what every you feel is best for you. I am 66 - 5'6" and ride two up most all the time. I did the change and the ONLY difference I found was that the bike does NOT move, once the jiffy stand is down - with the stock set up - if the bike was parked on a slope - the bike 'may' rock/move just a bit even though the jiffy stand was Locked into place. I do not understand how (for You) the ergonomics (feelings) changed when you had a passanger???

I do understand how most of this could be subjective and we each can have a different feeling.. For me - I love the feel that with the aftermarkets tab - it locks in place just fine and of course, I do not even put the jiffy stand down UNTIL the passenger gets off - then I put it out and ALWAYS give it a little 'tap' with my foot to make sure (just a habit). then lean in down on the stand - Very solid

Interested in this as my 06 does the stand roll and although it ain't gunna fall it annoys the crap out of me. His listing says it's for 09+ bikes, wondering what was different about the tab on the earlier models?

Same part number 50015-74A. Ending in 74 should mean it hasn't changed since 1974.

I did. They are the same from 74 till at least 13. I didn't check the Rushmore models.

Default they are a bit diff

I MADE MY OWN FOR MY 2003 that had leg point backwards, took a new one welded more material on one side and milled some off the other side and milled square again on welded side. when I traded the 2003 in I took the same piece I made and put it on my 2009, if I recall I had to mill more off the part to fit the 09 the groove it sits in is narrower.

I don't think the OP's bike has ever left his driveway. The bottom side of mine wasn't that clean when I saw it on the show room floor and it only had about 1 mile on the odometer. How do you keep it like that?
