Just ordered a Med Tint for my 05 Road Glide. Hear they are really great shields. I know John was super to talk to. Couple things about this that I find really cool. The new shield comes with a new rubber strip that John says stays on and in place, a foam tape on the inside to help cushion it as most Auto windshields use, AND new grommets! For 161.00 to my door!! Man it is going to be a long wait!!!!!!
Dave, I can't really tell from the pictures...What makes this shield different from any of the other shields available for the FLHT? I'm trying to find something that will allow me to look over the top of the shield but does not cause a lot of head/helmet buffeting. Hoping this shield might be the answer.
The clearview site is not exactly packed with useful info, I did request a brochure for the FLHT but have not seen it yet.
It's a high impacr DOT approved acrylic, with great clarity and strength. No coating means its safe to use Rain-X too!
The height is perfect for me, and the curved lip does a nice job of keeping the windflow up and over me.
I'm extremely pleased!
