Here in Calif you cant even buy non-chlorinated (red can) anymore. Those are toxic waste stream when trying to dispose of them.

i thought you could spray the engine cases with brake clean ?

I can spray the cases without issues, it must be either a better PC method. Being the cases are textured there is more bonding surface than a smooth surface being coated. But I keep BK away from paint and powder coating.

I would only use compressed air for that application or maybe flush with something harmless like Simple Green, brake cleaner is some aggressive $hit and is a recipe for a disaster.

Brake cleaner eats almost any finish bud. Soap and water works best on my powder coated stuff. I also use cheese cloth so you don't put tiny scratches in the powder
