As I have the two disk in hand, I noticed they are each marked
left and right ...just wondering why, and it the letteres are covered
with the powder will there be any ill effect? If the disk are switched.

They are marked Left and Right because they are NOT identical ... If you can't see the "markings", you would look at another for a Reference ... or make a reference of yours before coating
