Default Full sac

Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced what I noticed today. I installed the 2" FullSac cores in the CVO cans which are great with the screens about 7k ago. On my way back from Sturgis last year I noticed it sounded a little different. No big deal. Fast forward to yesterday (1K later, lots of rain this fall/winter) after a tank of gas I'm realizing it just doesn't sound good anymore. Kinda of a banging noise in the exhaust when rolling on the throttle. Not tuned. I thought maybe the packing is burned up. So when I pulled the slip on off I noticed a noised when I tilt it back and forth. The screens inside where sliding back and forth. They are not expanded enough to reach the baffle material. The baffle material is still nice and tight. Seems stuck to the outer shell. It was nice and snug when intially installed. I believe this is the noise I'm hearing. I like the deeper sound and I don't want any ear ringing when I ride. I'm not sure if I just want to pull out the screens and matting and be done. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was your remedy? Or is it that you have to replace the matting regularly? Thanks for some input in advance.

When I installed my screens in the CVO mufflers,I wired them together so they would stay the same circumference. Then I wrapped packing around screens and also safety wired packing to screens in three spots. When Fullsac baffle was installed with screen in muffler, there was no way screen could rattle with end to end play.Ran about 10,000 miles with them until I traded bike in.It sounds like you didn't secure packing to screen.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like I'll try tying everything up like you did. What did you use to tie the screens together as well as the fiberglass mat?

I used .028 stainless steel wire but almost any wire will do.
