How about contacting your carrier / phone manufacturer to get an approved charger 12-volt "in-car charger" and start from there? Unless you're riding under a blazing sun, the fact that you're on a bike rather than in a car will make no difference.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I have to monitor my phone when I travel long distances running GPS in my car, or it will discharge faster than the charger can accommodate, even with a 2.1-A charger, especially if I leave the screen on.
Kill everything that you don't need: wi-fi, Bluetooth (if you don't have a headset), and any other apps that run in the background. Some phones allow you to use a Power Saving mode you can enable the keeps apps like email and the like from doing periodic updates.
My screen is never on when I'm riding as I rely on the Bluetooth speakers in my helmet to listen to turn-by-turn directions rather than being distracted by the screen.
