Getting ready to put my 103 build back together on my 09FLHX and plan to change to the SE Compensator. In doing this do i need to and/or should in change the rotor to the newer style which I think came on the 2011 and later touring models?

Yes, you'll need the new rotor. HD has a kit that includes it.
Think I got it all from BoardTracker for 240 or something shipped.
You can also just use JB weld to glue the oil thing on. Cheap and just as good (if not better) as the epoxy.
This is something I plan to do in the not to distant future, Just to be clear, does the inner primary cover also have to come off to replace the compensator?

You can get away with just the outer, I believe, on 2011, and up because it has the "older" SE comp. When I did my 2011, my inner stayed on for the "upgrade" swap.

With regard removing the inner primary cover,(to make access for rotor removal ),, the guy in the video removed the inner, instead of grinding the outer cover... A little more work and some extra parts,, but a lot cleaner in my opinion... The bike in the video is a 2009 tourer as well...
The SE compensator kit you require for your 2009 bike is 40100061 , (which includes new/ replacement rotor).. The adhesive is sold separately ...
Yea I went ahead with the Baker unit as well. Not many miles as I did it in the fall. But the 50 or so miles, there is a big difference compared to the stock 2010 unit. It showed almost no wear, but it sure made noise!

Man, if I were you I'd consider putting the Baker compensator in there instead. I've read some real good reviews about it on this forum. I'm sorry to say the HD design blows and wouldn't spend a dime on it even the newest design.
