I've always wanted to attend the 500 since I was a wee lad, butit'llnever happen at this pointin my life. I've come to hate traveling, freeways and restaraunts. When I retire I'll be damned if I'm ever gonnaspend time in another big city orin another@#$!#$% hotel room!
But it is a grand spectacle and wonderful American tradition. For any who're going; Travel safe, be careful and have a great time! Bottoms up one time for me.
Lived in Indy since I was in the 4th grade and NEVER been to the 500. Been to the track plenty of times for practice, suite parties, carb day...but never for the race.
Been to the race twice before they had their hissy fit and split into 2 racing classes, and one since the split. I won't be going back unless they resolve their differences and join up again. It's sad really when you watch either classes on the TV and there is no one in the stands. They used to pull in more watchers and fans than NASCAR before the split. Now they struggle to get on a cable station. Now, if anyone is making a trip down to the F1 race........
That's funny! I was just at the track for a suite party last Friday. We had garage and pit passes so I decided to walk the pits. Everyone asked if I saw anyone down there. My answer was "Just a bunch of foreigners".
