Have anyone tried the reduced reach seat on an Ultra. Got a chance to get one for $160. Wondered how comfortable it was compared to stock. and how much lower it put you. Also I have a backrest with stock seat, how does that work with reduced reach.
If it's the seat they put on the Limited & Ultra Low models, it will sit you about an inch lower. It's narrower too so that helps in reaching the ground.
Down side is it will give you kind of a reverse wedgie.... after a short while you'll be reaching down there to rearrange things....

I tried one 10 years ago on my '06 EG Classic. It was on and off my scoot in 24 hours. It was the most uncomfortable seat I ever sat on. I went with a Sundowner and the rest is history. If reaching the ground flatfooted is an issue, I fixed that by wearing Chippewa Logger style boots with a thick sole.

That's what my buddy said, pushes up the gonads very uncomfortable
My Reach seat pushed me into the tank so I had my local upholstery guy cut some out of the rear of the rider's portion so I could scoot back a tad and I'm very pleased with it.
$160 sounds like a good deal. For about a grand I had Corbin make a seat for my street glide that pushed me forward 1 inch. They also shaved the nose. Great seat for me, 600 mile days are not a problem. They will make a seat to your specs.

I hated it. Got one new when I bought my new Ultra in '09. Locks you in place and pushed me too forward. Uncomfortable to say the least. I'm 5'8" and the '09 seat was really high and wide. They fixed that in '10 with seats marked "low" on the bottom, which was the new standard seat. I have one of those and it's perfect.
If you go in to Harley Davidson you can demo seats. I know at my dealership they require a $75 refundable deposit and you can take it for up to 24 hours.
