I just busted my rear shocks..woke up one morning and I see this light oil flowing out my left rear shocks(where the control **** is)..That's also when I realized that the stock shocks on my bike had only the left side doing the job and the one on the right was well..just riding along..Decided to go for the Progressive 944s after reading many positive feedback about it but after reading some of the posts here I'm now wondering if I've been reading in the right places..I've just placed my orders through Ebay and hopefully it should reach my shores in a couple of weeks..Now tell me guys,is the 944 really that crappy?

Had them on my previous bagger, they are much better than the stock air shocks. IMHO.

Went with Legend Revo shocks and Legend AXEO front suspension on my 14 Limited.

The .most important thing is that you upgraded your suspension. Let us know what you think.

What version are those? Shock length and advertised travel amount? I ask because of all the hardware on the bottom of shock - blue nut, adjuster with extended threaded shaft and black ****. It seems all that hardware replaces valuable suspension travel. The amount of shock shaft showing + bump stop is "actual shock travel" and it could be more without all that hardware. It looks like the lower hardware allows the shock to be adjusted to different lengths. ie 12" ~ 13" shock. But at the cost of suspension travel.

S36E shock.

Spring length: 200 mm
Spring rate: 25 N/mm
Spring: 00280-21

13" with 3'" of travel then. They move the travel up as these have rebound damping. Makes sense now.

They are the #3#3's. You can review all the specifications for this shock on Howard's web page.
www.motorcyclemetal.com and click the link on the left side that says Touring Ohlins.

S36E shock.
It is the internal floating piston on the divided chamber shocks that take up space that reduces travel. My 13.25" s36e Ohlins have over 4" of shock travel
