Getting ready to install the Tour Pak spoiler kit on my 2016 FLHTK. I've installed the pre Rushmore spoiler on 2 other Ultras. Now that HD's new tour pak tooling incorporates markers that indicate the specific location of where you drill, the install should be even easier. The instructions suggest first drilling a 1/8" hole from the inside then increasing the hole size to the necessary size from the outside. Sounds like a perfect application to use a step drill. Anyone have experience installing the spoiler on a Rushmore FLH? Step drill a good idea? Got a better idea?
I put a lighted rack (airwing) one on my tour pack. I was absolutely beside myself trying to get that thing just right. I knew if I had it off even one MM, my frigin' **** retentiveness would remind me overtime I walked up to the darn thing.

so, be very careful and take your time.
^^^This was me too, measuring everything just so. Luckily I realized before I drilled that the factory pinstripes I was using for reference weren't even close to being centered on the lid....
I've installed a few of those. It's easy, just take your time.
The small drill bit first is a good idea to keep the larger one from walking.
A step drill is okay but not necessary, I'd be worried about starting the next step.
The plastic is very soft.
Make sure you put some masking tape down for protection.
