Detachable Tour-Pak Conversion Kit Cable Tray
I installed the Harley Detachable Tour-Pak Conversion Kit on my 2015 Ultra Limited. Part number 53000291A. Installation was simple and straight forward. Total project including the LED bag signals only took about 2 hours. I did not mount the antenna relocation kit. I chose to go with a simple hidden antenna setup that I will be installed in my fairing. The quality of the kit is outstanding with the exception of the license plate holder which has been mentioned a 100 times on this forum.
I’m at a crossroad regarding what I to do to keep the Tour-Pak cables from rubbing on the fender now that the “tray” is missing from the stock rack. This is an issue only when the Tour-Pak is installed. If anyone has pictures of how you dealt with this issue could you please post. I’m thinking about making a small tray out of aluminum that would mount to the bottom of the quick disconnect, facing towards the seat. It would basically replace the stock tray or shelf that is no longer being used. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim

Short term I just used a strip of black duct tape where the cables lay on the fender. I just rip off the tape, wipe any residue off and go solo. If you look really close you can see the duct tape under the Tour-Pak but you have to look hard. Long term I haven't decided yet. I'm considering a quick remove padded black vinyl pad anchored by the Ultra passenger seat.

I purchased an 11” X 14” x 1/8” piece of clear acrylic today at HomeDepot. My thought is to mount it between the Tour-Pak and rack. It will extend about 2” past the rack towards the rear seat, under the vinyl backrest flap. I will permanently attach Velcro to the 2” acrylic shelf. That way I can just connect the two ends of the Velcro around the cable bunch after setting the Tour-Pak. I will post pictures as soon as I get around to doing it. Thanks for everyone’s input.

You feed the cable along the back of the saddlebag. I took a little extra time to position the cables cleanly along the inside of the frame with 6 zip ties on each side. I have just enough slack to tilt the saddlebag outwards and slide my hand in behind it to disconnect the cable when removing the saddlebag. Each side connects into a plug provided with the wiring harness adapter that was provided with the LED bag light kit. This kit is specific to touring 2014-16
