I use a Thundermax on my '09, and have been very happy with it. I have made several changes to the bike including cams, exhaust, and even an engine swap from 103" to 120". Then a change in compression ration on the 120. The bike has always ran very well, and I've never felt the need to have it tuned by a pro. If you do plan on having yours tuned on a dyno, I'd ask the person who will be tuning it what they prefer to use before you spend the money on a tuner of any kind, and go with that.
