V&H Ovals..AWESOME!!!!
Arlen Ness Super Sucker Stage 1 Air filter
Vance and Hines Fuel Pak version 12
Vance and Hines Oval Slipons
The air filter went on without a hitch. Very easy to do, and the instructions were very clear. Installation was as easy as it gets!
The fuel pak also went in without any major issues. The only snag I had was with the 4 screws that mount the Fuel Pak to the spider bracket being a touch too long, and you can't seat them all the way without buggering the heads of the small screws. My simple solution, I cut about 1/8" off the length of the screws and was able to seat the screws all the way into the spider bracket.
Programming the Fuel Pak was a cinch also. With the factory exhaust and the '07 96" motor with the V&H Oval slip ons, I used the FP-0516 settings. Programming the 19 modes literally took no more than 10 minutes.
The V&H ovals came last. I removed both saddle bags and started on the right side first. I also removed the last heat shield to allow me to use a dead blow hammer to install the original HD muffler clamps. I preferred the design of the original clamps over the V&H ones, so I reused those. The original muffler came off after removing the 2 rear bolts and the clamp. Not much pulling needed to remove the muffler, since the bike only has 3100 miles on it!
The left side muffler was giving me some trouble though. The factory head pipe has a bend relatively close to where it connects to the muffler, and has a little more give to it than the right side pipe. I removed the left side heat shield, and tapped the OEM muffler clamp onto the muffler before installing it. I tightened it after checking front to rear spacing so that both mufflers were even.
Covers, heat shields and bags were installed. Heat shields and mufflers were cleaned prior to starting the bike.
I was/am extremely happy with the sound and performance of my upgrades as soon as I hit the start button. I no longer have a delay when starting the bike now. She kicks over right away, as opposed to having to hit the starter button twice before.
I took her for a sprint down I-190 and immediately felt a whole new bike underneath! Acceleration is so much more smoother now than when it was stock. She definately has more seat-of-the-pants power than before also! No hesitation, no decel popping, just pure bliss!
The V&H Ovals are definately louder than the stock mufflers, but they are also of a deeper tone. I actually shut the radio off to hear the new mufflers while riding! Even when I give her full throttle, there are no skips, sputters, or flat spots. Power comes on smooth and very consistent. Go full throttle, and those ovals will bark a sweet sound!
6th gear passing is also something new with the setup as well. Before, when the bike was stock, I had to downshift to make sure I had enough oomph to get up and go. Now, it's a twist of the throttle, and away you go!
I will post pictures and sound bytes as soon as the rain goes away up here.
Cheers!

Was thinkin of going with similiar combo before I finally decided on the Rineharts. Sounds like things went easy, hardest part I had was breakin apart the stock pipes, all else fit like a glove.
Enjoy!!!!!
Take it ezzz
