I'm 5' 10" with a Mustang Classic Touring seat. I went with the 9" recurve, it's awesome, again, measure as per the LRS instructions. Also, it you use a back rest or anything and it props you up a little straighter, then I'd measure with that on too.
Also remember that the stock shield isn't curved on top, the recurve will direct the wind up, so if the stock shield keeps the wind out of your face, you may be able to go a bit shorter so you can look over the shield and it will still keep the wind out of your face.
