Just a note to let those of you that are undecided about the height of a windshield and either one would be OK I just went from a 10" Stingray that seemed to be OK to an 11" and I can't believe the difference. It's like night and day for the better so if you are on the fence IMO go with that extra inch, you won't be sorry.
Just thought I'd pass this on, hope it helps someone.
Just make sure that you keep the top of the shield out of your view. There is nothing more annoying that taking a long ride and as you relax the top of the shield creeps into view.
I am glad that you are happy with your new shield.
Funny, I went down an inch from my stock '14 Ultra windshield to LRS re-curve model and raised the air-stream over my head.
That is funny you must have been way off with your measurements.
My thread is for the individual that is, like I said, on the fence.
As I said I could have lived with the 10" but the 11" is much better for me.
If you really want to change the air flow on a Street Glide install the forks fangs. (i know some don't like the looks) I'm running a LRS re-curve and installed the fork fangs for winter riding and they made such a difference I've left them on.

Yup, fangs make a big difference, and I think they look cool.
I had help measuring and I was in between the 11" and 12". I went with the 11" so I could make sure it wouldn't be in my view like LRS said above. Works like a charm, I'm super happy with my purchase.
On my SG I removed the factory 12" windshield (it was in my line of sight) and installed an LRS 10" flat top elite made a huge difference. I then installed JES Customs fork fangs and boom no more shaky glasses. I am getting used to the fangs but damn they work well.

Factory Street Glide windshield is not 12", it's 4 ", and they suck if you're going faster than 60.
