Last week I called my local Indy shop and asked if they would be willing to match Jake Wilson's prices on a pair of American Elites. She asked what the price was, and I told her. $155 rear/123 front. She said, "Yeah I can do that". Ordered them, and had them installed a few days later. Price of tires, plus $3 per tire for disposal fee, plus 1.75 hours labor at $65/hour=$397. She printed out the form for the $50 mail in rebate, and gave it to me with my receipt. Don't buy tires at a Harley dealer.
Another buying option, I bought mine last time from bike bandit for 304.00 free delivery plus on/off the bike and mounting/balancing and disposal at the HD dealer. It was just under 500.00 all said and done.
When visiting the dealer today I got a quote on new tires mounted and balanced knowing probably be needing them by fall.
$785 bucks!! Really? Seriously? WTF?...
