The one's sold on amazon don't have the official harley logo. Does that answer your question?
.......probably about $150.00....no wait, almost $300.00. i got the headlamp at almost $300 and the fog lamps at almost the same price. these are together....its a steal. they look the same. i think when i bought mine after seeing them on the new rushmores, they were around $300 for the headlight and another $300 or so for the fog lights. the lighting projection is something you have to get used to. they are great straight ahead, kind of lacking when going around turns. they have a flat beam and work kind of like an airplane wing when turning left, you lose light on the right, when turning right, you lose light on the left. think of it like an airplane banking....wing up in a turn. not a problem in populated areas, can be less helpful spotting critters in the country roads.
Hi,
I have those exact ones and they work great - NOW.
The side lights are 1mm too thick so the sidelight bezels do not clamp them up.
To fix this i used a rotary file in the air drill and they work great now.
The headlight was the same. I had to buy the adapter ring (i have a 2012), but due to the headlight being 2mm too thin, it rattled in the adapter.
To fix this i used a 7" O ring to take up the slack.
It sounds like a lot of work (it is) but i am an engineer so have all the tools at hand and so i save $$$.
Would i do it again or buy the knock-off ? - the knockoff are great when sorted so yes, i,d buy again.
The JW Speaker Evo 2 lights sold on Amazon are actually better than the Daymakers, so it depends on which knock-off you're talking about. The JW is cheaper, made by the same manufacturer and has an updated design that corrects the cornering issues with the DM.

didn't know that....thanks for the info. might have to look at getting a set.

I have another question regarding these. What's the visibility of these like during the daytime...I mean for oncoming traffic?
An observation...was out riding today with a couple of friends. One on a 2006 Classic and one on a brand new 2016 Limited Low. I was out front all day so checking my mirrors on a regular basis to make sure they were back there. I gotta say, the conventional lights on the 06 Classic were much brighter and way, way easier to pick up & see. The 2016 Daymakers looked like they weren't even on. When he was the 2nd bike back, it was hard to see him back there...glowing at best. Even my wife remarked and asked if his lights were not working?
I'm considering upgrading but in addition to be able to light up the road at night, i believe the safety factor of being seen by others is just as important.
So my question again, is the JW Speaker Evo 2 better than the Daymaker for being seen...especially in daylight?
I have the day maker love it. Because of the tight focus of the low beam, during daylight riding,it doesn't seem to be as noticeable. I run my high beam during daylight riding ,guys I've ridden with are surprised at how bright they are. I've read a better explanation on another thread. They are a great improvement over stock. They do have to be aimed carefully. Having said that if I had to do it over I would get the jw speaker evo ll. I have ridden at night and the day maker earns its name.
