Pull engine trouble codes
I have a 2002 Ultra Classic. Intermittantly, maybe once everytime I ride, it seems to loose power for a split second or miss. Almost like someone is tugging on back of bike. None of the gauges seem to drop or change when this happens so I'm thinking ignition or fuel not electrical. Sometimes the red engine light will come on and stay on for 20 seconds or so, sometimes not.
I would like to check the trouble code history but doesn't seem to be Delphi or Magnetti Marelli EFI system. Can anyone clue me in? I have service manual but not electrical diagnostic manual/

well, this isn"t working for me, Doesn't flash any codes. After jumping pin 1 & 2, red engine light comes on for 6 sec, goes out for 4 secs, then comes back on and stays on for short time. Doesn't flash any codes. Removed Cobra FI2000 to see if makes difference. Not sure how long I can run with it removed.

Well, stopped at dealer to talk to them. Apparently these codes can ONLY be pulled with a scanalyzer. Guess we'll see if its worth $30

I would carry the jumper with me and the next time the bike does this check it right then.

I know jumper didn't work for me.
