My trike wont start

My trike lost power sputtered and died. it will start but run very ruff but if I give it gas it dies.Has anybody had this problem? I'm thinking its the fuel filter or pump, it has gas and the fuse is good. Any other suggestions.

might be a bad coil , some how half of it can die and do just what you are saying , happened on my wife's bike

Fuel pressure regulator. Same issue on my bike a few years ago.

Well I found my problem. The shell that the filter is in cracked at the clip that holds it in. all it would do is spray gas into the tank and not enough pressure to run the bike.
