So was putting my new Super Shox on my Street Glide yesterday. Simple job right. Well I was using my Black Widow scissor jack that I have had for about 2 years with occasional use. Well the bike came crashing down when the lift broke mashing the fender onto the tire. Luckily my hand was not in there. If I would have been doing anything with the rear tire I would have broke my hand at a minimum. If the tire would have been off it would have caused a lot of damage to my ride. Looking at it the cheap a$$ threads pulled out causing it to collapse.
I just ordered another one but I went with a Titan Lift. It has a locking safety bar that would have prevented this from happening! Just an FYI to everyone to be safe.

I also forgot to mention. My bike was on my table lift at the time so the front end was supported. If it were on the ground the bike would have fell over too.
Remember way back when? Back when it was known you didn't ever go under a car on a scissor jack or such without jack stands? Seems to have all been forgotten.
Yes but how to support a Harley on jack stands? Only rear of bike was lifted and only about 2 inches off the ground. Just getting the word out because a lot of people use these scissor lifts. They are great for normal maintenance and a must have for a lift table.
