I'm a new Harley owner. 2011 street glide runs great!!! Problem is my when I turn either right or left signal on the hazards come on. I've tried pushing both and they still come on. Push them again an it turns off. I don't know where to begin. Opened up the front headlight bezel, no sliced wires or nothing. And the radio comes on whenever it wants. Help!!!
I agree with Tracker, especially if your bike has non-stock handlebars, or worst still internal wiring through the bars. Unfortunately they are a common cause of problems, due to ham-fisted diy work. Use a multimeter to check continuity if necessary.
I'd try the easy stuff first. Check all 4 bulbs to make sure they are the correct bulbs and that they are installed correctly in the sockets. Also check to make sure the elements are good and not touching each other in the dual element bulb. I'm not familiar with the rear lighting on a 2011 SG but I would look to see if it has been modified as far as run/turn/brake light functions. You could also try to unplug the rear lighting connector (usually a wire harness coming thru the front of the rear fender). Some times a load balancer (I think that's what it's called) might be plugged in-line if the bulbs were changed to LED. If you cannot find anything then you might want to look at handlebar wiring.
