OP it's normal. It's the way the spent exhaust flows through your pipes. Anyone running power dual will tell you the same thing. My left muffler tip is the very same way.
Thanks for the reply guys. Just to be clear, the discoloration is in the exhaust tip end....the left side is like 5 times darker than the right which stays clean.
I didn't do a stage one download from HD when I added the air intake and exhaust. I was told by VH that the FP3 will correct the ECM for this setup.
I'm not sure with fooling with the mixture control on the FP3...when I call VH customer service maybe they can direct me.
It's because the left muffler runs colder then the right muffler and does not burn the pipe clean inside also less velocity thought left muffler. Normal.
Thanks again for the replies. I called VH and they verified what has been said... the left pipe runs cooler and has much less velocity of exhaust due to the bends. Therefore doesn't burn off the mixture as well as the right side. Just requires more cleaning. Same thing with dresser duals. I appreciate the knowledge on this forum. So I guess my case is closed
