Default How do you wave?

Just for fun...pardon the frivolous post, but...

What style "wave" do you use when passing fellow riders?

I passed a guy today who jammed his hand up in the air (no, he was not signaling in a group ride) and confused the p**s out of the cager behind him...they thought he was signaling a right, ya know...aaanyway...

For me, it's down and asorta loose peace sign...can't be confused as a signal. In traffic...just a nod or left hand flip-up with palm on the grip.

I throw a wave out for anybody motorized on 2 wheels...yeah...even the little old lady I saw today putting along backing-up traffic on the Post Road in Old Saybrook, CT. She looked at me like I wanted her recipe for chicken pot pie...which I do.

Late,

SG

Ha! No doubt...I do tend to catch a few ricers by surprise...a Harley waving a non-Harley (Stop the MADNESS!)...though these days all of the Honda-Dadison's make it a tough catch on occasion...certainly at speed.

Just like you described, a loose peace sign does it for me. I wave to all 2 wheelers but sometimes get a shocked lookfrommetric riders when I wave to them, what's up with that?

Ikeep it low, loose peace sign. The best is waving to people on Scooters, they really get freaked out. Try it sometime it's a barrel of laughs. [sm=icon_rock.gif]

I usualy go the index finger kinda pointed at ya off the grip but above the bars. Unless I'm leavin a stop in which case I just nod 'cause I'm clutching my way through the gears. Never did understand how it's comfortable to low wave or low peace sign. Mabye when I had my Softail.
