If you're talking about the Harley Siren PN 068328-06A Smart Siren II , I installed it on my Limited a couple years ago, don't recall it being terribly difficult- plug and play once you get the antenna velcro'd on, etc...... Mine is ear piercingly loud. Have you ridden the bike around for a few hours to make sure the battery is charged? They discharge just sitting, and the siren might not run quite right until that NiMh 9V battery is adequately charged.

By the way, if you go to the HD Corporate website for this part you will find the instructions, and they have the install process for the 2014+ Touring bikes, might wanna check the instructions specific to your bike.

If your instructions really don't have the 2014+ bikes, that siren has possibly been sitting around on the shelf for a few years, and the battery is most certainly depleted.

Make sure you install with the siren opening toward the bottom of the bike.

If it works but is not very loud, it's probably defective. Take it to the dealer and demonstrate it for them, then get a replacement. It should rattle your teeth when it goes off.

it has a rechargable battery, give it a few hours of riding to fully charge.

The internal battery is only a backup. It runs off of the bikes power unless that source is cut off. The siren will function even if you take the rechargeable battery out.
