Default Front Wheel Opinions

Just looking for some opinions here. I'll be taking my 2012 Ultra in for a 35K service to my local Indy sometime in the next couple weeks. During that service I'm going to have new front and rear MCIIs put on (replacing my existing MCIIs that have 20K on the - great tires!). Since he will be doing that work I was thinking about changing it up with the front tire size. I really didn't plan on changing anything with the rear, just leaving it stock. In my opinion, since you can't really see the back tire because of the saddle bags there's really no point in changing it. I was thinking about changing the front for looks though. My questions are - can I go with a 19" or 21" front tire without changing the stock 16" on the back? If so, will I notice any difference in handling? I'm guessing any difference I notice would be less with the 19" and more with the 21"? Going from a 17" stock front to a 19", would that raise the front of the bike by 1" and 2" if I go with a 21"? What are your thoughts on which would look better, 19" or 21"?

Here's a pic of my bike so you can see what I'm working with. Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the pic. Not sure why it didn't attach on the initial post.

Will stock rims and tires off a 2015 street glide mount right up to my 2012 Ultra?

Minus potential for different bearings (abs)...yes. it'll be straight up. That said. If you have abs and new rims are abs then it doesn't get any easier

Mine doesn't but his does so I will need the new bearings. Any idea what that cost would be off the top of your head?

Since you brought it up, i'll share my opinion...You do see it and people notice it. If it doesn't bother you, then great.

Your 17" and the 19" are the same diameter (different aspect ratio). The 21" has a larger diameter and will change the rake and trail of your bike without any other changes (increases Trail). You may find your steering a little less responsive (but many have done it without changes)

Change Bearings (as mentioned) or Optionally (for Low Mileage wheel/bearings) use reduced length spacers at the Left-Front and Right-Rear

You will need [4] #9276 bearings, cost is 17 - 20$ at most online dealers

Don't forget labor (I'm assuming, since you asked the question)...

~$200 at a dealer (4 bearings and labor - 2 wheels)

When I got new rims I borrowed a tool from Auto zone to pull abs bearing out. Worked great.

Thanks for the responses. I'm picking up a set of 2015 Street Glide rim and tire take offs (removed by dealer before the bike left the shop) from a guy in my area. Brand new Dunlops and rims for $500 seems like a pretty reasonable deal, to me anyway. I figure if I don't like them on my bike I can sell them and probably get most, if not all my money back.
