I used to have GEICO, back when it stood for Government Employees Insurance Company. The first time i made an at fault claim they dumped me...i will never go back, cheap isn't always best!!
I checked with geico and they weren't all that bad, except when it comes to under insured and non insured motorist rates. That about kicked me in the teeth when I heard what they wanted for that 'add on'.
I currently have am fam for the sporty, and they only insure up to $5k for theft and the same for bodily injury claims. I passed on the BS 'full coverage' and went with only liability, on the sportster.

Some years back, Geico had a bad reputation for this type of behavior, but I'm assuming they've mended their ways by now.
I have State Farm. RUns me $400/yr. The only negative thing I've heard about GEICO is their rates jump when you have a claim. State Farm gives you a break once you've been with them for what I believe is 3 yrs.
As an Allstate agent in TX, I can tell you that Dairyland and Progressive have historically ruled the market down here. Recently, however, Allstate is finally seeing that a lot of their customers have "toys" i.e. motorcycles, boats, jet skis, 4 wheelers, etc. that they were having to insure elsewhere. So, we would have the home and auto, but Progressive or Dairyland would have the bikes/boats, etc. Now, Allstate is just as competitive as anyone else....plus you get some coverages that are included in the policy that you have to pay extra for everywhere else.
You may want to check out Allstate....not bashing any other company, they are good also, however...I would personally like to have an agent (a body to see and talk to) if there ever was a problem.
My yearly policy 2006 Road King Classic no tickets/accidents 250/500 limits of liability (otherwise exactly the same as yours) runs $613.97 You boys in TX let me know if you need a quote!
I have State Farm for my home and all my vehicles including 06 RKC. The bike costs $245/year. I was always wondering if others were getting insured cheaper. Guess I will sit here and be happy that I got it so good.
