Default hallium

This guy told me he puts hallium in his tires instead of air for a more accurate reading of tire pressure. Anyone ever hear of this.

Roger.

Yes, people have been doing this for a while. My question is how convenient is this? What about road trips where you’re out for the week-end? How do you add a pound here or there? I've also heard it helps your tires run cooler ... not sure if that's true or not.

A lot of the places aroung here are selling nitrogen for tires for the same reasons. Nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen so they don't permeate as fast and the don't expand at altitude as much. That is one reason they use in in aircraft tires. Also nitrogen is a natural drier so no moisture build up. Now helium is a new one for me. Will it make you float over the bumpsÂż
