The RKC leather TP, 53147-98B,has the narrow backrest, I want a full wrap around backrest w/armrests. Has anyone tried installing the backrest, 90067-06,that goes with the Premium leather TP, 79109-06, on the basic leather TP? I know that the (6) mounting bolt locations are different from the basic leather TP and the King TP, but I don't know about compared to the Premium leather TP. Only other answer would be to fab an adapter bracket to bolt up.
i saw a rkc tourpack with wraparound backrest... it was in an ad for someones seat i think... too bad i don't remember which magizine or even who's ad it was

I ordered the SE backrest kit for mine. I don't remember the part number and I'm not in a position to look it up for you. You are correct though about the mounting positions being different that the Ultra Classic backrest.
