wanted to know what years fit my RC and can other years be used with just swapping the bearings? is the front and rear wheel the same?

Front and rear wheels are not the same. You can easily answer your question by checking one of the on-line parts websites like this one. Check your model year, to get the part numbers, then see which successive years they are used on - takes a few minutes, that's all. I've done it myself when looking for alternative wheels.

there is such an abundance of wheels on ebay that you could almost certainly just purchase a matched set off your specific year bike.

I know you didn't ask for opinions on the issue but I would never go from mag (tubeless) to spoke (tube type) wheels, I carry plugs and a compressor and can plug a nail hole and ride away easily and quickly where as the tube type tire is much more difficult.

spokes are pretty but if I bought a used bike with spokes I would swap em for OEM mags immediately.

I don't do and long haul runs mostly just around the Chicago area usually less then 100 miles from the house so if some thing happened my kid would just come out with my car hauler and get me, but i under stand you being able to patch a tire and ride away if i was to do long hauls i would stick with a alloy wheel for sure

the part number when i goggle it comes up for different models and it gets confusing, thats why i asked for help just want to make sure i get the right wheel for my cycle

thanks

Your 02 RK has a 16x3" wheels with a 1" rear axle, so the easiest interchange is to use 02-07 "Touring" or 05-07 Sportster. There are other 3/4" axle wheels that would work if you enlarged the center section, but that's more work.
