Default Noticed something weird
Hello all,


I noticed something weird recently.
When I start the bike up from cold in the morning I can see vapour coming out of the left hand pipe but strangely next to nothing can be seen coming out of the right hand pipe.
What would cause this?
Is this normal?
Is there anything I need to be worried about with this symptom?

One pipe is the ghost pipe for looks. The smoking one (R) is the real pipe. Put your hand over the left pipe. Next to no exhaust.

No I don't think I have a ghost pipe. I have V&H dresser duals going into Street cannon slipons and as far as I know that setup has no ghost pipe. Also when I put my hand over the pipes an equal amount of gas seems to be pushed out of each pipe....

My bike is just opposite but eventually will get the vapor(water) out of both.

More condensation settles in left pipe than right after you shut down and put on jiffy stand. Mine has always done it.

Also, one of the by products of the internal combustion engine process is H20 (water vapor)

You normally don't see this when it is warm, but on cooler mornings you will notice it more (at least until you get the engine and exhaust system up to operating temps).
