Just put in a new stator which involved removing all drive components and inner primary. Install went well and took her around the block with no issues. Now though my OCD is kicking in as I forgot to verify the "this side out" of the compensator gear is in fact facing out. Everything bolted up fine. Chain looked like it was lined up.
I know an option is to pull cover to check again which I will most likely do again when I have the chance. But figured I'd see if anyone has any info.
Can you install that gear backwards? Does the chain still line up?
I'm like 95% sure I installed it correctly but was rushed to finish before night. Really kicking myself as I'm usually good about checking that stuff..
