Considering the M8 is their latest technology, with four valves, I would of expected a bigger difference. The 110B is also very smooth.
I think a 30% increase over the stock 103 at 2000rpms and a 15% increase at 2500rpms is pretty significant for a bike that is relatively similar in price to last year. I think most 2015-16 bike owners would pay (and have paid) far more for even less increases from aftermarket upgrades.
I think once there is more performance data on the 114's, they will make the 110TC also look similarly lower in performance.

Yes I agree it is a good improvement over the 103. I was comparing it to the 110. Will be interesting to see how the 114 compares to the 117 twin cam.
You should consider looking more closely at the chart and ignore the difference in max #s for a moment (although the max difference are still impressive). The real difference is the fact that at 2000rpms the stock 107 has 30% more torque and at 2500 rpms it has 15% more torque than the stock 103. That will make for a dramatic "seat of the pants" difference that goes well beyond the additional 4ci which is only a 4% difference in displacement.

That right there is a very good explanation of the new M8's performance which explains/backs up why people posting here that have test ridden the new 2017 bikes w-M8 motor state it felt more trq'y & with a bit more power in the old " BUTTOMTER " too!/LOL!!!
I have yet to test ride a new 2017 w-M8 motor but would like to do so
sometime.

I test rode the 2017 CVO Limited with the 114 at the York Plant Open House last week. It definitely has a robust torquey feel that feels a lot stronger at lower rpms than the stock 110.
For comparison here are the HD rear wheel ratings:
110TC @ 2500 = 88ftlbs
114M8 @ 2500 = 105ftlbs
110TC @ 3000 = 90ftlbs
114M8 @ 3000 = 110ftlbs
That's a pretty sizeable difference. That's 19% more torque at 2500rpms and 22% more torque at 3000rpms. I definitely felt that the 114 was very gutsy for a stock bike and the numbers prove it out.
As a side note, alot of the performance kits are now being made a "final sale, no returns" on the MoCo website. Looks like they might be clearing out all performance upgrades they can't demonstrate meet California EPA emission standards.
Here's HD's rear wheel dynos for comparison.

I need to find where I can purchase the 4 cubic foot upgrade in post #584. Seems like you would expect better results for 4 cubic feet. Those have to be some big pistons or mega stroke!

You're not going to find better results out of a 4 cubic foot larger stock motor anywhere. 20 foot pounds difference at 2000-2500 RPM. Yeah, not happening on anything HD has built before.
It's interesting for sure. I can't remember a time when the difference in output has been larger - in HD engines anyway. Certainly not in a 88 to 96 or 96 to 103. Nor a 103 to 103 HO.
4 tiny cubic foot diff and you have 20 pounds more torque right off the line.
New heads and cam I guess. And the motor is soooo smooth... Nice work HD.
No clutch upgrade needed to handle the extra 6,912 CI of displacement?
since i don´t se any mention on it in the tread is FM thinking off doing exhaust with epa like a good racecat in the headder????
cause over here in europe we are much more in to legal performence, and that is why APR is selling big in germany and other places we have loads that do very nice front pipes with racecat that are totally legal and give performence, on the cars there is maybe max 5bhp on a 360bhp car, of course the price is higher but no one would like to be busted by the german tüv on the street. ps. denmark is not strickt on bike´s yet but the non legal don´t ride long trips he he
kind regards
