Look into Race Tech Springs and Gold Valve Emulaters. A lot better and cheaper then 2017 front suspension internals.
A review even compares the two:
"It’s not a conventional cartridge arrangement, but what it most resembles is the long-running Race Tech Emulator, which converts a damping-rod fork to have cartridge-like damping character. In this case, a pair of deflecting-disc valves reside in a chamber placed atop a conventional looking damping rod. They take over some of the rebound and compression damping so that the fork doesn’t have the harshness of a pure orifice-controlled device."
I have no facts, just speculation. They already sell upgraded fork kits and "premium" shocks for older bikes, maybe they just included them as stock now.
Fork size is still 49mm, same as the Rushmore's , so the same parts should fit.
I saw somewhere that the part numbers were different, but that could mean either a minor change or a big one.
I'm happy with the suspension on my '16 RGU so far, but I know I'll want to upgrade someday. I'll wait until I hear some real-world reports on the '17's suspension before I decide which way to go.
I'm mostly interested in the front suspension. I'm already an owner of Ohlins on the rear on a 2003. I was just about to consider either the harley premium fork kit or something else to get rid of brake dive. Just seeing what the options were.

Heavier fork oil?
That's what I did anyway. But because of the design you can't eliminate the dive, just reduce it.
Hence the reason I want to do the Premium cartridge kit or something else.
I ordered the premium cartridge kit and was disappointed to find that it wasn't a cartridge per se, and sent it back. It's basically an upgraded version of what's already in there. The Ohlin cartridge is a true drop in system I believe. I'm sure it's pretty good. Legend has one too.
